Gravy Chicken curry


Ingredients :-

1. Chicken - 1 kg

2. Onions - 3

3. Ginger garlic paste - 2 tbsp

4. Tomatoes - 2

5. Red chilly powder - 1 tbsp

6. Red chilies - 7

7. Salt - 1 tbsp or as per taste.

8. Poppy seeds - 1 tsp

9. Coriander seeds - 2 tbsp

10. Fennel seeds - 2 tsp

11. Turmeric powder - 2 tsp

12. Green cardamom - 2

13. Cinnamon stick - 1 inch

14. Cumin seeds - 1 tsp

Preparation method :-

1. Soak red chilies in water for 15 minutes.

2. Take 2 tbsp oil in small vessel.

3. Add poppy seeds and coriander seeds and fry for 2 minutes.

4. Add 1 tsp fennel seeds and fry for a minute.

5. Take fried coriander seeds, poppy seeds and fennel seeds into a blender. Add soaked red chilies to the blender. Add 1 tsp turmeric powder to blender and grind into smooth paste.

5. Take oil in a big vessel. once its hot, add green cardamom,

cinnamon stick and cumin seeds.

6. Add chopped onions and fry them till they are transparent. Add ginger garlic paste. Fry for 4 minutes.

7. Add sliced tomatoes and fry till they are mashed.

8. Add 1 tbsp red chilly powder and 1 tsp turmeric powder. Fry for 2 minutes.

8. Add grinded mixture and fry till it oozes oil.

9. Add chicken . Add salt and cover it for 10 minutes. Fry in between.

10. Add little water to the chicken and keep mixing.

11. Let it cook for 30 minutes and garnish with chopped coriander.

Note :- You can cook chicken in pressure cooker as well and give it 2 whistles in high and 1 whistle on low flame.
