Crispy potato cutlets


Ingredients :

1. Potatoes - 5 medium size

2. Coriander leaves - 5 tbsp chopped

3. Cumin powder - 1 tsp

4. Chat masala - 1 tsp

5. Salt - 1/4 tsp or to taste

6. Red chilly powder - 1 tsp

7. Corn flour - 1 tbsp

8. Corn flakes - 1 cup crushed

9. All purpose flour (Maida) - 2 tbsp

10. Water - 5 tbsp

Preparation Method :

1. Take one raw potato and cut into medium thin pieces.

2. Now deep fry them and once they are golden brown, take them out on tissue paper.

3. Boil other 4 potatoes, peel them and mash them.

4. Take mashed potatoes in a bowl, add chat masala, salt, red chilly powder, cumin powder, chopped coriander leaves, corn flour and mix it well.

5. Chop fried potato into small pieces and add to the bowl. Mix it well.

6. Rub little oil to the palms and take small portions of potato mixture. Give them shape of cutlets.

7. Take a separate bowl, add all purpose flour and water to it to make a slurry.

8. In another bowl, add crushed corn flakes.

9. Heat oil in a vessel to deep fry cutlets.

10. Take each potato cutlet one by one and dip into maida slurry first and then coat them with crushed corn flakes.

11. Repeat it with all cutlets and once oil is hot, deep fry them for 1 minute till it turns golden brown.

12. Garnish with coriander leaves, sprinkle little chat masala on it. Serve hot with onion rings.
