Potato nuggets


Ingredients :

1. Boiled and mashed potatoes - 2 cups

2. Bread crumbs - 1/4 cup

3. Corn flour - 2 tbsp

4. Grated cheese - 2-3 tbsp

5. Chilly flakes - 1 tsp

6. Oregano - 1 tsp

7. Salt to taste

8. Garlic cloves (grated) - 2

Preparation method :-

1. Take a bowl and add all the above ingredients. Mix well.

2. Keep it in fridge for 30 minutes for stiffness.

3. Now take it out from fridge and apply little oil on your palms.

4. Take small portions of mixture and give them small bullets shape .

5. Take 2 separate bowls, take 1/2 cup bread crumbs in one.

6. In another bowl, take 2 tbsp cornflour and add 1/2 cup water and mix well.

7. Now dip the nuggets in cornflour slurry once and then coat them with breadcrumbs.

8. Keep it in the fridge for 30 minutes for good binding.

9. Now heat oil in a vessel, once it hot, deep fry nuggets in the oil and once they are golden brown take them out on tissue paper. (Fry them on medium flame)

10. Serve hot with ketchup.

Note :-

If bread crumbs are home made.. they should be coarse.

To make bread crumbs you can grind 4 rusks in the mixer grinder or else you can use the store bought bread crumbs.
