Mirchi bajji


Preparation time: 30 mins

Ingredients:

1. Bajji chilies - 10

2. Gram flour - 1 cup

3. Rice flour - 2 tbsp

4. Red chilly powder - 1 tbsp

5. Carom seeds ( Ajwain) - 1/2 tsp

6. Salt to taste

7. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp

Preparation method:

1. Take a bowl and add gram flour to it.

2. Add rice flour, red chilly powder, carom seeds, salt, turmeric powder to the bowl and mix it well.

3. Add water and make it a thick batter. Check the consistency, don't make it too thick or too thin. Keep it aside for 10 mins.

4. Now cut bajji chilies into half vertically or slit in between.

5. Soak it into salt water for 10 min.

6. Take a kadai , add enough oil to it to deep fry bajji.

7. Now take each bajji chilly and dip it into the batter. Put into the oil once oil is hot and deep fry it.

8. Once it turns brown take it out on tissue paper.

9. Sprinkle with lemon juice, garnish with onions and serve hot.
