Cheese and corn balls
Preparation time: 2 hours
Ingredients:
1. Grated cheese - 1 cup
2. Boiled and mashed potato - 1 potato
3. Boiled yellow corn - 1 cup
4. Chopped coriander leaves.
5. Red chilly flakes - 1 tbsp
6. Oregano - 1 tbsp
7. Cumin powder - 1 tsp
8. Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
9. salt - 2 pinches as cheese already has salt.
10. Pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
11. Garlic paste - 1/4 paste
12. Corn flour - 1 tbsp
13. All purpose flour ( maida) - 1tbsp
14. Wheat flour - 1 tbsp
15. Bread crumbs - 1 cup
16. Oil for deep frying.
Preparation method:
1. Boil one small potato and corn in pressure cooker. Let them cool down.
2. Take a bowl and add grated cheese to it.
3. Add boiled corn, chopped coriander leaves and mashed potato to it.
4. Add red chilly flakes, oregano, cumin powder, red chilly powder, salt, pepper powder to it.
5. Add garlic paste and corn flour to it. Mix it well and make it a dough.
6. Make small bowls out of it.Keep them in fridge for 30 minutes. This will bind the balls properly and cheese wont come out while frying.
7. Take a bowl and add maida to it. Add very little water to it to make a flowing consistency liquid.
8. Take wheat flour in a different flour.
9. Take bread crumbs in another different bowl.
10. Now roll the cheese balls in the wheat flour 1st, then dip it in the maida batter and then roll it in the bread crumbs.
11. Do it for all the cheese balls and deep fry it before serving.
12. Serve hot with ketchup.
