Masala for masala dosa


Ingredients:

1. Potato - 2 big - boiled and peeled.

2. Chana dal - 1 tbsp

3. Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp

4. Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp

5. Ginger - finely chopped - 1 tsp

6. Red whole chilly - 3

7. Green chilies - 2

8. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp

9. Onion - 1 sliced

10. Hing - 1/4 tsp

11. Salt - 1 tsp or as per taste

Preparation method:

1. Boil potatoes in cooker and once they are cooled, peel their skin.

2. Take a pan, add oil to it. Once oil is hot, add chana dal and let it fry for 1 min.

3. Now add chopped ginger, whole red chilies and green chilies.

4. Add mustard and cumin seeds and let them splutter.

5. Add turmeric powder, hing and let it fry for a min.

6. Now add sliced onions and let them fry till they are transparent. Do not fry for too long.

7. Now add boiled potatoes and salt and let them fry for 5 mins. Add little water and mix it well.

8. Serve hot with dosa.
