Tawa paneer masala
Ingredients:
For marination :-
1. Paneer - 100 gms
2. Yogurt - 3 tbsp
3. Salt as per taste
4. Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
5. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
6. Chat masala - 1 tsp
7. Tandoori masala or tava fry masala - 1 tsp (Optional)
8. Kasturi methi - 1 tsp
For gravy:-
9. Green chilies - 2
10. Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
11. Carom seeds - 1/2 tsp
12. Onions - 1 - big and chopped
13. Capsicum or bell pepper - 1/2 - chopped
14. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
15. Tomato puree of 1 big tomato
16. Coriander and cumin powder - 1 tsp each
Preparation method:
1. Cut paneer into cubes.
2. Take a bowl, add yogurt, salt, red chilly powder, Ginger garlic paste, chat masala, tandoori or tava fry masala, kasturi methi and mix all ingredients well.
3. Add paneer cubes to it and keep it in fridge for 30 mins.
4. Meanwhile , take a pan, add oil to it.
5. Once its hot, add green chilies, cumin seeds, carom seeds and let them splutter.
6. Add chopped onions and let them fry till transparent that is about 3 mins.
7. Add chopped capsicum and fry for 2 mins.
8. Add ginger garlic paste and fry for 5 mins till its little brown.
9. Add tomato puree, cover and let it cook for 10 mins.
10. As the curry is getting cooked, take out the paneer from the fridge.
11. In a different pan, add 1 tsp ghee and add paneer to it.
12. Turn and mix it . Fry it till its little cooked and soft that is for around 10 mins and turn off the flame.
13. Add salt, coriander and cumin powder to the tomato and let it cook for 5 mins.
14. Once the tomato is mashed up, add the paneer cubes to the gravy and mix well.
15. After 3 mins , turn off the flame and garnish with coriander leaves.
