Spinach curry


Ingredients:

1. Spinach - 1 bunch

2. Onions -1/2 big or 1 small - chopped

3. Garlic - 4-5 cloves

4. Mustard and cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp

5. Salt - 1/2 tsp

6. Tomatoes - 1 small or 1/2 big

7. Red chilly powder and cumin powder , turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala - 1/2 tsp

8. Whole red chilies or green chilies - 2

Preparation method:

1. Take a pan, add oil to it. Once it hot add chopped garlic to it.

2. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, whole red chilies, green chilly to it. Saute it for 1 min

3. Add chopped onion and fry them till brown . Add chopped spinach to it. 4. Sprinkle salt all over spinach and cover it for 5 mins.

5. Mix it to avoid sticking of spinach to the bottom.

6. Add chopped tomatoes and mix it.

7. Cover it and let it cook for 5 mins.

8. Add red chilly powder, cumin powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, coriander powder and mix it well.

9. Add little water and cook for 10 minutes. Taste it , if salt is less, add more.

10. Let it cook for 10 more mins till its soft and mashed.

11. Serve hot with roti.
