Shahi paneer


Ingredients:

1. Paneer - 250 gms

2. Chopped Onion - 1 big

3. Whole garam masala - 1 bay leaf, 2 Star annis, 1 inch cinnamon stick

4. Cumin seeds - 1 tsp

5. Almonds ( Soaked and skin peeled) or Cashews

(Soaked) - 1 cup

6. Green chilies - 2

7. Ginger and garlic paste - 1 tsp

8. Coriander powder, cumin powder - 1 tbsp

9. Double cream - 3 tbsp

10. Chopped coriander

11. Salt to taste

Preparation method:

1. Take a pan , add oil to it. Once its hot, add whole garam masala, cumin seeds and let them splutter.

2. Add green chilies and chopped onion. Let them fry for 2 mins. Do not let them turn brown.

3. Add ginger garlic paste and let it fry for 2 mins.

4. Add coriander powder, cumin powder and fry for a minute.

5. Make a paste of soaked almonds or soaked cashews.

6. Add this almond or cashew paste to the pan. Add 1 cup water and let it cook for 20 mins. Add salt.

7. Keep stirring in between as it might stick to the bottom. Add more water if needed.

8. Add paneer pieces to it and let it cook for 10 mins.

9. Add double cream to it and mix it well. Let it cook for 2 more mins.

10. Garnish with chopped coriander and serve with flavored rice or roti.
