Paneer Do pyaza
Ingredients:
1. Paneer - 100 gms
2. Onions - 1 chopped
3. Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
4. Green chilies - 2
5. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
6. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
7. Coriander powder - 1 tbsp
8. Red chilly powder - 1 tbsp
9. Capsicum (Bell pepper)- 1/2
10. Tomato - 1
11. Salt - 1 tsp or to taste
12. Onion - 1/2 diced
13. Kasturi methi - 1/2 tsp
14. Cashews - 7-10
15. Coriander leaves.
Preparation method:
1. Take a pan and add oil to it.
2. Once its hot, add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
3. Add green chilies and chopped onions.
4. Fry them till golden brown and add turmeric powder.
5. Add ginger garlic paste and fry for 2 mins.
6. Add coriander powder and red chilly powder and cook it on low flame.
7. Fry for 2 mins and add little water to make sure spices don't get burnt.
8. In a blender, add capsicum and tomato and blend it to make a puree.
9. Add this puree to the pan and add salt and mix well.
10. Add diced onion to the gravy.
11. Add kasturi methi and paneer cubes to the gravy. (you can fry paneer separately for 5 mins)
12. Dry roast cashews and blend it in coarse powder and add it to the gravy. 13. Cover it and cook for 2 mins.
14. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot with roti.
