Kadai paneer


Ingredients:

1. For kadai masala - Red whole chilies - 3 red chilies, 1 tsp whole pepper, 1 tbsp cumin seeds, 2 tbsp coriander seeds.

2. Paneer - 250 gms

3. Cumins - 1 tsp

4. Cloves - 3

5. Cinnamon stick - 1 inch

6. Cashew nuts - 7-10

7 Fennel seeds - pinch

8. Onion - 1 big - Chopped

9. Tomatoes - 2 big - chopped

10. Green capsicum - 1 - cut into cubes

11. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp

12. Salt - to taste

13. Green chilies - 2

14. Kasturi methi - 1/2 tsp

15. Coriander leaves

Preparation method:

1. For kadai masala - Take a pan, once its hot, add whole red chilies. Add whole pepper, coriander seeds, cumin seeds and dry roast it for 2 mins. Once it cools down, blend it into a course powder.

2. Now take a pan, add 2 tbsp butter to it. Once its hot, add chopped paneer pieces and chopped capsicum, fry for 5 mins.

3. Take them out in a separate bowl.

4. In the same pan, add oil. Once it hot, add cumins, cloves, cinnamon stick, fennel seeds and cashew nuts. Fry them for a minute.

5. Add chopped onions and fry them till transparent.

6. Add chopped tomatoes and fry them till mashed.

7. Turn off the flame and let it cool down. Once cooled, blend the mixture in the blender till smooth.

8. In the same pan, add butter, add ginger garlic paste, green chilies and fry it till brown.

9. Add the blended mixture and add salt to it. Cover it and let it cook for 10 mins.

10. Add kadai masala,kasturi methi and mix well. Fry for 2 mins

11. Add paneer and capsicum and let it cook for 5-10 mins.

12. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with naan or roti
