Achari Paneer


Ingredients:

1. Onion - sliced - 1

2. Mango pickle - 1 tbsp gravy and 1 mango piece.

3. Coriander powder and cumin powder - 1 tbsp each

4. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp

5. Whole red chilies - 2 or 1 tsp of red chilly powder

6. Fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp or 1/4 tsp of fennel seeds powder

7. Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp

8. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp

9. Bell pepper or capsicum - 1 - cut into cubes.

10. Tomato puree of 2 medium tomatoes

11. Salt as per taste

12. Kasturi methi - 1 tsp

13. Paneer - 100 gms

14. Coriander leaves.

Preparation method:

1. Take a pan, add oil to it.

2. Once oil is hot, add sliced onions. Let them fry till golden brown.

3. Once they are done, remove from flame and add to the blender.

4. Add mango pickle to the blender.

5. Add Coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder and ginger garlic paste to the blender.

6.Add fennel powder to the blender along with red chilly powder . Otherwise, dry roast fennel seeds and whole red chilies and add to the mango pickle and onion mixture in blender.

7. Blend all these items to make a smooth paste. Add little water if required.

8. Take a pan, add oil to it. Once its hot, add cumin seeds.

9. Add diced bell pepper and fry it for 5 mins.

10. Add onion and pickle paste and let it fry for 5 mins.

11. Add tomato puree, cover and cook for 10 min.

12. Add salt as required.

13. Add kasturi methi and chopped paneer. Cover it cook for 10 mins.

14. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with naan or roti.
