Shahi paneer (Colourless)
Ingredients:
1. Paneer - 250 gms
2. Onions - 1 big sliced
3. Tomatoes - 2 small chopped
4. Butter - 2 tbsp
5. Whole red chilies - 2
6. Cashews - 6-7
7. Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
8. Bay leaf - 1
9. Cloves - 2-3
10. Cinnamon - 1 inch
11. Kasturi methi - 1/4 tsp
12. Cream - 1/2 cup or 4-5 tbsp
13. Salt - 1 tsp or as per taste.
Preparation method:
1. Take a pan, add butter to it.
2. Once its hot, add whole red chilies, cashews and sliced onions to it. Fry them till its transparent.
3. Add chopped tomatoes and salt to it. Cover and fry them till they mashed up.
4. Once its cooked, let it cool down and grind it in the blender.
5. Take another pan, add oil to it. Once oil is hot, add ginger garlic paste, bay leaf, cloves and cinnamon to it and let it fry.
6. Now add the blended puree and add kasturi methi to it.
7. Cover and let it cook for some time. Add chopped paneer to it and let it cook for 10 more mins.
8. Add cream to it and mix it well. Let it cook for some time.
9. Garnish with chopped cashews and serve hot with roti or nan. (I have not added any artificial color to it. If you want it in red color, you can add red food color to the gravy or add canned tomato puree.)
