Rajma Masala


Ingredients:

  1. Rajma - around 250gms

  2. Cumin seeds - 1 tbsp

  3. Chopped onions - 2

  4. Green chillie 3-4

  5. Salt (as per taste)

  6. Garam masala powder - 1 tbsp

  7. Ginger garlic paste - 1tbsp

  8. Chopped tomatoes - 2 (medium)

  9. Coriander powder - 1 tbsp

  10. Red chilly powder - 1tbsp

  11. Kastori methi powder - 1tsp

  12. Coriander leaves

  13. Rajma masala - 2 tbsp (Optional)

Preparation method:

1. Boil rajma in cooker. Give it 5-7 whistles.

2. Take a pan and oil to it. Add cumin seeds.

3. Add chopped onions and green chillis let it fry for some time.

4. Add garam masala powder to onions and fry it for some time.

5. Add ginger garlic paste to it and fry it properly till its brown.

6. Add chopped tomatoes in it and cover it and let it cook till its mashed. Add salt to it.

7. Once its done add coriander powder and rajma masala to it, add red chilly powder and fry it for some time. After some time add little water which was left over when rajma was boiled.

8.Once its boiled add rajma to it and cover it for cooking.

9. Add kastori methi powder to it.

10. Let it cook for 15-20 mins then add chopped coriander leaves. Garnish with coriander leaves.
