Pepper chicken chettinad


Ingredients:

  1. Chicken - 500 gms

  2. Chopped onions - 2 medium

  3. Green chillies - 2-3

  4. Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tbsp

  5. Chopped tomatoes - 1

  6. Whole garam masala

  7. Coriander powder - 1 tbsp

  8. Cumin powder - 1 tbsp

  9. Cumin - 1 tsp

  10. Red chilly powder - 1 and half tbsp

  11. Crushed pepper - 1-2 tbsp

  12. Salt to taste

Preparation method:

1. Take a pan and add oil to it. Once it hot add cumin seeds to it.

2. Add whole garam masala and green chilies.

3. Add chopped onions and fry them till brown then add ginger garlic paste. 4. Fry ginger garlic paste till it turns brown then add chopped tomatoes.

5. Cover the pan with the lid and let tomatoes cook till the get mashed up.

6. Once tomatoes are cooked, add red chilly powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and mix it properly. This will be the chettinad for chicken.

7. Add chicken to it, add salt and cover with the lid again. Chicken will ooze water so don't add any water to it.

8. Keep stirring in between. It will take around 20-30 mins to get cooked.

9. Add crushed pepper at the end and mix it properly.

10. Garnish with onion slices and serve hot with rice or roti.
