HEART SHAPE ROSE CAKE


Ingredients:-

1. All purpose flour (maida) - 2 cups

2. Powdered sugar - 3 cups

3. Baking powder - 1 tsp

4. Eggs - 2

5. Vanilla essence - 1 tsp

6. Butter - 1/2 cup

7. Milk - as required

8. Double cream - 300 ml or 2 cups or ready made whipped cream

9. Red icing colour

10. White ready made icing.

Preparation method:-

To bake a cake :- 1. Take a bowl, sieve maida, baking powder, 2 cups powdered sugar in it.

2. Take 2 separate bowls. Add egg whites in 1 bowl and egg yolks in 1 bowl.

3. With a blender, blend egg whites first to a point where its all fluffy and does not fall from the bowl even when turned upside down. That is known as ribbon form.

4. Now blend egg yolks properly, and add vanilla essence to it. 5. Now mix egg yolk and egg white mixture. Blend once.

6. Now slowly mix dry content, that is maida mixture into the egg mixture. Blend it well.

7. Add butter to the mixture now. And blend again.

8. Now check the consistency of the mixture, if its very thick add little milk. The consistency of the mixture should be like little flowing but not too liquid as well. Blend it properly.

9. Now preheat the oven at 180 degree Celsius for 10 mins. Grease the heart shaped baking tray with butter and pour the mixture into it.

10. Bake the mixture in oven for 30-40 mins. Check with knife if its done or by pricking it. If it comes out dry, its done. If the knife comes out wet or sticky, then let it bake for 5 -10 mins more.

11. Once the cake is done, take it out of the oven and let it cool down for 10-15 mins.

12. Then cut the cake horizontally like cutting with a saw. Keep the 2 pieces separately.

13. Sprinkle sugar syrup on both the cake pieces properly.

For icing :- 1. Take a bowl, add double cream to it. 2. Add 1 cup powdered sugar to it and whisk it with blender. 3. Add 1 tsp vanilla essence and whisk it again. Whisk it till its shiny and little thick. Don't whisk it more as it will become dry. 4. Now apply the cream on one half. ( no need to use sugar syrup for this ) 5. Now put the other half of the cake on the 1st one. 6. Now apply the icing on the whole cake. Dip knife in hot water once in a while to get plain surface for cake. 7.Once whole icing is done. Keep the cake in fridge for some time till we prepare red icing for roses. 8. Now take the remaining icing and mix small quantity of red icing color in it. Keep mixing icing color till its red and not pink. 9. Now take the icing bag, Put red color icing in it with nozzle no. 30 or star nozzle . 10. Press the icing bag so that the cream should come out with design and turn it in circle to give it rose shape. Do it for the whole cake. 11. For the white rose, you can use ready made edible rose or take ready made icing. 12. With ready made icing, take a small piece and roll it with roller like a roti in cylinder shape and long one. 13. Once its pressed properly just roll it all the way down like a cylinder and shape the petals of rose with fingers. 14. Keep it in the fridge so that the icing should become stiff.
